Europa is my largest preset pack yet, featuring 150 original sounds crafted for Arturia Jup-8 V4 and Analog Lab. This collection takes full advantage of the latest version of Arturia’s Jupiter-8 emulation, ‘version 4,’ which introduces a refined sound engine with added analog warmth and expanded modulation options. The Europa presets explore these new capabilities, offering a wide variety of sounds, from shimmering pads and lo-fi keys to deep basses, cinematic strings, and versatile synth patches that can be used in any style of music production.
Arturia’s Jup-8 V4 is a faithful software emulation of the legendary Roland Jupiter-8, one of the most revered analog polyphonic synthesizers of all time. Released in 1981, the Jupiter-8 set a new standard in synthesizer technology, delivering powerful, rich analog tones and introducing unique features like polyphonic unison mode and keyboard split functionality. The Jupiter-8 became a staple of the era, used by top artists and producers to create iconic tracks, and its influence is still felt in modern music today. With Arturia’s Jup-8 V4, these classic sounds are brought into the modern studio, offering the same analog character without the high price of the original hardware.
In creating the Europa presets, I focused on making the most of the Jup-8 V4’s enhanced sound engine and advanced features, like its additional LFOs, integrated sequencer, and Modulation Mixer. The result is a diverse set of sounds that blend the power and warmth of classic Jupiter-8 tones with modern, organic modulation techniques. The Jup-8 V bank requires version 4.0.1 or later. The Analog Lab bank requires version 5.0.1 or later. Both banks contain identical presets.
These presets are for the newer Jup-8 V4, included in the Arturia V Collection 8 and later. They will not work with the older Jup-8 V3 plugin.
