Beach House’s Space Song, from their 2015 album Depression Cherry, combines layered keyboards, ascending arpeggios and slide guitar with a hazy, reverb-heavy production style. Its blend of dream pop, warm synth textures and understated percussion helped the track find a new audience years after its release.

This Ableton Live remake recreates the arrangement with Arturia Prophet-5 V and Mini V4, layered organ sounds from B3 V, and ascending arpeggios programmed with Ableton’s Arpeggiator. The project also includes octave-doubled lap steel guitar, bass guitar and drum machine samples.

What’s Included

Each remake includes two separate ZIP downloads. The first contains the full Ableton Live project with all tracks frozen for compatibility. The second contains multitrack WAV stems for every audio track in the project, along with MIDI files for all MIDI-based parts.

Project screenshots on the right show the arrangement and overall structure of the Ableton Live session. The synths and effects listed below are the third-party VST plugins used in the Ableton Project and are required if you want to fully edit or unfreeze the tracks.
