Q Lazzarus’ Goodbye Horses is a sparse synth-driven track from the late ’80s, best known for its appearance in The Silence of the Lambs. The arrangement combines muted string synths, FM sounds, simple basslines, and heavily reverberated drums, creating an atmospheric sound with relatively few layers.
This Ableton Live remake recreates the main synth parts using Arturia Jun-6 V, Prophet-5 V, and DX7 V, including the layered string patches, FM choir and pizzicato sounds, and dark synth bass.
Each remake comes as two ZIP downloads: the full Ableton Live project with every track frozen, and multitrack WAV stems for every audio track with MIDI files for every MIDI part.
