Introducing Legends, a collection of 100 iconic synth presets for Arturia OP-Xa V and Analog Lab V, meticulously crafted to bring the classic sounds of the early 80s into your studio. From bass plucks to chorused synth strings, warm Oberheim brass, and melodic leads, these presets capture the timeless sounds that defined an era. Designed for both 80s synthpop enthusiasts and modern producers, Legends adds a vintage touch to contemporary tracks.
Arturia OP-Xa V
The presets are built for Arturia OP-Xa V (previously called OB-Xa V), a software emulation of the legendary Oberheim OB-Xa. The OB-Xa, alongside the OB-X and OB-8, helped shape records by Michael Jackson, Prince (notably on Dirty Mind and Controversy), Madonna (on her ’83 debut), Van Halen (1984) and Rush (Signals and Moving Pictures) alongside many others. Legends faithfully recreates these historic sounds for modern production, referencing original tracks to ensure accuracy, with highlights including iconic sounds used by Prince and Michael Jackson that aren’t available in any of my other packs.
All presets in Legends make use of the onboard effects in OP-Xa, incorporating elements from the original production effects. The result is a set of sounds that stay true to the original recordings. The preset bank is also fully compatible with Arturia Analog Lab, including the free Analog Lab Play, providing the same classic sounds with Macro controls for seamless integration into your projects.
